i just found my destiny

Can I just say that "Total Eclipse of the Heart" by Bonnie Tyler is the most awesome song ever? I don't know how I lived 21 years without owning it. It's so incredibly overdramatic, almost stalker-like. I love the screamy vocals towards the end of the seven-minute melodrama, the vampirey organ synth, and the excessive use of cymbals. This is the best song EVER!!!

You are a woman of taste and refinement, and I wholeheartedly agree with you.

Hahaha...I mean, Beethoven's Ninth Symphony is totally second...er...

Seriously, it's so awesome and I wish that I'd had it during breakups so I could have been even more despondent than I already was. How can you not like a lyric like "forever's gonna start tonight"? She's deciding his future!

My favorite version of this song is the version from the Old School Soundtrack, I think the group is called "The Dan band"

I saw that on the iTunes music store. I loved the sporadic insertions of "fuckin'" in the already needy song. It's nice because Ms. Tyler's version is like needy stalker, and The Dan Band's version is like angry, spurned stalker.

I'm pretty sure she does a version as a duet with Meatloaf, and that is frikin sweet! I have no idea why I know so much about this song...
